No, I didn't fall off the face of the earth...

...lol...it just seems like it.

We had a wonderful (and relaxing) vacation in Bar Harbor, ME from Sat., June 30 to Fri., July 6.  I don't have much in the way of pages done and I don't have the album here on the blog, but you can see photos at Shutterfly HERE.  I recently purchased a prepaid plan with them (800 prints for $96---can't beat 12 cent prints!) and got a free 8x8 photo book free.  I'm now trying to decide if I want to make scrap pages and use the book for that or do one of their templates and use the vacation pics...decisions, decisions.  I have to use the offer for the free book by mid-Sept.

Last week I just decided to neglect scrapping an my blog woefully.  hehehe  I did a layout or two, but not much and I didn't post here at all.  Bad, bad blogger.  *blush*

This past weekend we were at the beach and had a wonderful time.  Lots of sunshine, warm weather and fun to be had.

Oh, did I forget to mention?  Over the past two weeks, I have decided to participate in the Step Up to Fight Diabetes Walk.  I'm very excited about this and have begun both training and fund raising efforts.  Each participant is required to raise a minimum of $1,000 in donations so I'm hoping if I start now I will be ready when the big day arrives on October 20.  Diabetes is a subject near and dear to my heart.  One of my best friends was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes when she was 27 years old.  I know kids get it too, but 27 is just way to young in my book.  Fortunately, she is a wise woman and takes very good care of herself.  She will be healthy and here with her family (she has two small children) and ME (yes, I am a bit selfish) for many years.  I do worry about her though.  I can't help it.  So, I will walk to help the ADA fight this disease.
